Daniel Roberts is Principal Product Manager for the Oracle Application Platform Suite. As part of an EMEA wide team his responsibilities include rolling out new application server technologies to the internal field organisation, providing technical assistance in helping strategic customers and providing technical education both internally and externally.
Daniel has a wealth of real world technical experience gained though his current role at Oracle and through prior consulting and development roles at Oracle, Novell and ICL.
His core technology skill set is based around Java technologies, which has been programming in since 1997. Additionally he is a Sun certified Java programmer and holds a degree in Computer Science.

BPEL is emerging as the standard for assembling a set of discrete services into an end-to-end process flow, radically reducing the cost and complexity of process integration initiatives. Oracle BPEL Process Manager offers a comprehensive and easy-to-use infrastructure for creating, deploying and managing BPEL business processes.
After an overview of Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) the participant will interactively learn how to develop BPEL Processes with the Eclipse IDE.
The focus of this hackers nights is on the hands-on experience in development BPEL processes. The BPEL Engine and BPEL Designer will be installed on your notebook.
