Aaron Williams is the Manager of the Program Management Office (PMO) of the Java Community Process (JCP) program. In this role, he is responsible for all of the day-to-day operations of the JCP program, as well as leading the Executive Committees of the JCP program. Mr. Williams has been working in the JCP PMO for the past 2 years, and in that time led several important initiatives within the community, including the latest evolution of the process (JCP 2.6). Mr. Williams' career spans more than 7 years in various segments of the Java technology market, working in such areas as interactive television and web browsers. Prior to joining the JCP PMO, Mr. Williams founded his own company, providing interactive production services to television broadcasters around the world. Mr. Williams has a strong technical background, with a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering and a Masters degree in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University.

Aaron will explain the unique benefits of the JCP program, as well as provide key insights into how to get involved, how the JSR process works and the upcoming Executive Committee (EC) elections this fall. He will also provide updates to some of the most exciting Java technologies to come out of the JCP program, and preview some of the new technologies that are being developed now - including J2EE 1.5 and Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) 3.0.
