We have already held a lot of online events. The events have been recorded and are published on jug.ch's YouTube channel.

Due to the current situation, we switched from face-to-face events to online streaming in March 2020. Despite the challenge of setting up the whole technology within a few days and learning most of it in the first place, it worked better than we had thought at the beginning. We have held a lot of events in this way and more are being planned and will be posted on our website in the coming days:

Provided that the speaker and his employer agree and there is no legal objection, we will record the online streaming events and publish them with some delay for post-production on our new YouTube channel. Please subscribe to us on YouTube and then click on the little bell to be informed about new recordings uploaded by us:

Nevertheless, on-site events with aperitifs remain our preferred occasions, as only here is it possible to get to know each other, exchange personal experiences and network in a satisfying way.

Stay healthy and see you soon

Corona-Virus @ jug.ch

Online events instead of on-site meetings.

The corona virus is currently still spreading, mainly through cancellations of events. At JUG.CH we are also thinking about the lectures and workshops we organize and our responsibility as organizers.

The background to this are the following considerations: It is about making the exponential spread of the virus less steep. At the beginning there is a doubling of the number of infected people about every week. One infected person less today means several hundred less in 2 months. It is extremely important to gain time so that the health system is not overloaded and medicines can be developed. JUG.CH also wants to help in this respect and is therefore refraining from holding physical events for the time being.

As an alternative, we are fulfilling a wish that has been asked for many times before: We stream our events on the Internet. Registered participants will receive all necessary information with their confirmation. In addition to the video stream, there is of course also the possibility to ask questions and discuss online.

This format is new for us, we have never streamed events online before and we will certainly have to gain a lot of experience in this area. So you can assume that not everything will run perfectly from the beginning, although we hope so, of course. We therefore ask for your understanding and are open to suggestions for improvement.

From now on, our events will take place virtually until further notice! Maybe this will even give you additional opportunities to participate in events that you personally would not have been able to attend. In the following days and weeks we will gradually approach all speakers of the events planned so far and will adapt our event announcements on our website accordingly. It will probably be worthwhile for you to visit jug.ch from time to time, but of course we will keep registered participants up to date and announce any new events as usual.

We hope for your understanding for our decision and are looking forward to the new possibilities.
