I like to see myself as frontend knight and ux/design enthusiast. There is a love between me and my work, but sometimes it makes me crazy.

Currently I am working for a little web agency called WONDROUS LLC in Basel.

My roots are placed in eastern Europe, in a country called Slovakia (not Slovenia), where I also studied Software Engineering. I spend few years as Software Analyst and Java Developer, but I jumped into the frontend development 3 year ago.

Sporadically I speak at Basel Drupal Meetups and I visit at least 3 conferences per year as an attendee.

Symbiosis of the Atomic Design and Living Styleguide

More and more agencies today use agile methodologies to work on their projects. We can say that atomic design is one part of these methodologies. It’s a game changer.
We have to understand, atomic design does not just mean the graphic design, it is a change of the whole project workflow and it brings a lot of new challenges.

In this talk I will explain what atomic design means and how it changes our workflow. I will show, how we can integrate it into our projects now and what the pros of this switch are.

As a second part I will show how we are using the Atomic Design approach in cooperation with the Living Styleguide to deliver dynamic reusable CSS on our projects.
I will show a few real examples of the SASS code and explain why we made this switch.

The presented topic is well-known to the audience, serious practical experience and a deep understanding are required. This talk will not cover basics of the topic, but will go into depth, might discuss details, compare different approaches, and so on.

The topic presented is of interest to all levels and does not require any special prior knowledge.
